Subject: Gas Savings
It was interesting to hear them advertise great, "gas savings".
Subject: An effective ad
This is a good example of how 60s advertising techniques made something seem much better than it really was. The Falcon was a very ordinary and rather boring car. But the dramatic music, scenery, voiceover etc., makes it look sporty and exciting. Well done.
Subject: Ford Falcon & The Peanuts Gang
You Tube actually has clips of the Peanuts gang from the 50's and early 60's doing ads for the Ford Falcon ( WAY before their so-called TV "debut" with A Charlie Brown Christmas BTW )
For years the story goes that Charles Schulz HATED those ads and vowed to destroy the prints. Alas he never did.
Subject: Interestingly....(or ironicly)
The Ford Falcon had the same chassis as the DeLorean designed Ford "Mustang". Still a cool car!
Subject: My mother (used to have) the car!
My mother's car was a nice 60s metallic blue, but looked just like this! WOW what a great flashback, and great find!! Thank you to whoever uploaded this! Pretty good quality... and I thought I had all the commercials on here!
Oh, BTW... my father did not eat the American Broadcasting Company. just sayin'.
Subject: Falcon go *BOOM*
A pretty over-the-top commercial for a compact 1966 car that was really nothing special.
The rugged, outdoorsy scenic photography and intense, dramatic music tries in vain to turn this poor sparrow of a car into a fierce FALCON *BOOM BOOM ... BOOM BOOM BOOM* but it still looks like a puny little tweety bird on four wheels.
Four, yes FOUR big *BOOM BOOM ... BOOM BOOM BOOM* stars for this unintentionally hilarious TV ad from the rugged, outdoorsy, rip-roarin' sixties.
Oh, by the way... *BOOM*
Subject: Please move to correct section
I know I shouldn't review my own items. But nobody complains when other uploaders do it!
This is an OK commercial. The car looks decent but average, certainly good looking but not among the best looking of the year.
This commercial came from a TV episode. The episode ran 29 minutes of which about 3 to 5 minutes was advertising. However, it comes from a different show than the Polaroid commercial I uploaded on the same day.
The station wagon looks really cool. I'd love to have that!
Cool use of a trained Bird in this commercial.
Some nice scenery!
